                              GENERAL INFORMATION

1.The name of Parliament of Pakistan is Majlis-e-shoora.
2.Its upper house is known as senate.
3.Its lower house is called National Assembly.
4.The Pakistani senate is consisted on 104 seats.
6.The number of women senators is 18.
7.Sixteen senators are being elected by the members of each 
   Provisional Assembly.
8.Eight senators are being elected by direct and free vote from the
   Federally Administered Tribal Areas.
9.Each Provisional Assembly selects Four women senators.
10.There are 342 total seats in the National Assembly of Pakistan.
11.There are Ten seats are reserved for religious minorities in the
     National Assembly of Pakistan.
12.The constitution does not give the President of Pakistan the    
      authority to dissolve Senate.

13.Speaker of the National Assembly acts as the president of the
     country if both the President and Chairman of the senate are not
     present.  
14.The Federal Shariat court of Pakistan consists of Muslim judges
     including the chief justice are Eight.

16.National security Council of Pakistan has 13 members.

     that is chaired by the President.

36.Chambelli is known as Summer Queen also.
37.In 1953 Chambelli was selected as a National Floral Symbol.
38.Gilgit,Hunza,Chillas and Skardu are known as Northern Areas.

40.Over 740 species of the birds have been identified in Pakistan .
41.There are seven National parks in the country.

43.The are 37 alphabets in Urdu language.

49.Chaudhary Rehmat Ali coined the word 'Pakistan'.
50.Pakistans's largest export partner is America.
51.The largest source of electricity generation in Pakistan comes
     hydel.
52.In 1977 Pakistan was the chairman of Group of 77.
53.Pakistan became the member of OIC in 1969.
54.Gwadar port was bought from Oman in 1958.
